The double channel “Mini-Skirt” uses several air management principles to restrict the wind from acting on the trailer undercarriage and the rear wheel system.  Unlike other skirts, however, it does not need to extend close to the ground for it to be very effective.  A pointed edge on the outer vertical surface causes air to “fill” the cavity, with the inner vertical surface preventing the “upwash” from creating drag on the trailer undercarriage and wheel assembly. 

This unique design blocks more air from entering the undercarriage region compared to a typical skirt at any length. No need for movable, deflectable, and actuated surfaces to adapt to various surface and/or road structures that may potentially damage the device. In fact, the Mini-skirt may be no lower than equipment you’re used to seeing here — spare tire carriers, tool boxes, APUs, for example. Made of aircraft-grade aluminum in 4’ sections, easy to install and repair if necessary without special tools.
