FedEx Freight East orders 1,192 Eagle VA converter dollies
Portland, Oregon – April 1, 2004 – Silver
Eagle Manufacturing Company announced that it has been awarded a one
year contract to produce 1,192 converter dollies for FedEx Freight,
a division of the FedEx Companies. Silver Eagle will begin producing
108 vehicles/month beginning late May 2004, using state-of-the-art
components and manufacturing processes.
"This is Silver Eagle's largest single order of
FedEx converter dollies to date, and we are thrilled" states Michael
King, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "We consider the
FedEx Companies to be among the most respected heavy truck fleets in
the country, and this order is a credit to the strength of the relationship
between our two organizations".
FedEx Freight's units will be built with some of the
latest in dolly technology, including LED lighting, Gate Readers (RFID),
E-coated primer, Michelin X one wide single tires and Arvin-Meritor's
PSI tire inflation system.
Silver Eagle Manufacturing Company is a small, privately-held
